Brief info

Dr. Kijana Nix is a Board-Certified General Pediatrician and Newborn Hospitalist who currently practices in the Washington DC Metro area. She completed pediatric residency training at Howard University Hospital and Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Howard University College of Medicine and is a Pediatric Attending at Howard University Hospital. She also recently established her private practice in the Greenbelt area. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth and the Medical Society of Maryland. Dr. Nix is a strong believer in giving back to the community, is passionate about philanthropy and is heavily invested in international mission work. She has been a part of health--related projects and missions in the USA, Antigua, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Sierra Leone and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She is one of the coauthors for an Amazon bestseller, Navigating A Triple Pandemic: Healthcare Workers of Color Confront Racism in America, Health Disparities and the Trauma of COVID-19. Her hobbies include traveling, photography and the culinary arts.
