Dr. Kijana Nix is a General Pediatrician and Hospitalist who is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She completed her pediatric residency training at Howard University Hospital and Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Howard University College of Medicine and is a Pediatric Attending at Howard University Hospital. She is a member of the Reliable Online Wellness Experience, ROWE, a network of telemedicine healthcare professionals. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, American Telemedicine Association, Medical Association of Jamaica and the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth. Dr. Nix is a strong believer in giving back to the community, is passionate about philanthropy and is heavily invested in international missionary work. She has been a part of various health related projects in the USA, Antigua, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She is the co-host of Carib Nation Health and coauthored an Amazon bestseller, Navigating A Triple Pandemic: Healthcare Workers of Color Confront Racism in America, Health Disparities and the Trauma of COVID-19. Her hobbies include, traveling, photography and the culinary arts.
